Marc Heggen

Permanent staff member of the Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons and leader of the work section Nanomaterials for green energy.

The Nanomaterials for green energy group focuses on the study of catalyst nanoparticles and nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion processes. The main objective is to understand the relationship between the atomic-scale microstructure and the electrochemical performance of the nanoparticle catalysts for a rational design of more advanced catalysts in terms of activity and stability.
