Michael Feuerbacher

Permanent staff member of the Institute of Microstructure Research PGI-5, head of the group "Metallic alloys and crystal growth". Primary expertise is in the field of complex intermetallics, e.g. high-entropy alloys, complex metallic alloys and quasicrystals. In these areas of materials science MF is interested in materials development, plasticity and defects.

Research interests

• Materials development and single-crystal growth
• Plasticity: compression deformation and incremental testing
• TEM: defect analysis by Bragg-contrast imaging and convergent-beam electron diffraction
